Perhaps you have landed on this page because you are finding life tough. When you're struggling it's hard to know who to talk to. Sometimes friends and family are not enough. Or they might even be, or add to, the problem.
Maybe modern times and difficult life experiences have left you feeling overwhelmed, lacking in focus or energy, and with little belief in yourself or your abilities? Perhaps you cannot rid yourself of anxious thoughts, worries or fears, or have developed unhelpful habits? You might have experienced a traumatic event, or series of events, and are stuck in that heightened emotional state? Or maybe you don't understand the reason; you just know that you aren't coping very well.
Starting therapy can feel daunting, confusing, and even quite overwhelming when you are struggling, but by reading this you have already taken that first step in finding the right person to help. I know how scary that can feel, because I am only human too. I have myself experienced prolonged, life-changing complex trauma, loss and adversity. I have a very real appreciation for what it is like to struggle emotionally, mentally and even physically - and to need that extra helping hand - but I also know the inner understanding, strength, resilience and hope that, with the right support, can grow from life's tough roller-coaster ride.
Introductory Offer
Whether you wish to engage with therapy face to face or online, I am a firm believer that the therapeutic relationship is key to a successful outcome, so it's important to me that you choose the right therapist. For this reason, whenever I have availability to take on new clients, I offer a FREE 20 minute consultation via telephone or Zoom. This no obligation 'discovery session', gives you an opportunity to gain a real sense of how it would be working together and how I can help you, whilst asking any questions you might have. The choice is then yours.
I will never pressure you to decide, but when you choose me as your therapist I will do my best to help you feel at ease and informed from our very first session together. Then, safely held within the boundary of a respectful, consistent, confidential, and supportive professional relationship, we will work together to find a way forward that is right for you, the circumstances you face, and the changes you seek.
